I understand there's a snow emergency in Boston.

We're having a Chinook in southern Alberta. The temperature is above freezing, there's sunshine and a Chinook arch. The ground is covered in snow from a week ago, but it's a very pleasant day here.

Please be careful shoveling the snow. I'd feel terrible about gloating if one of my friends got hurt.

There's also a "French Toast Emergency," watching the crowds leaving Shaw's across the street, no doubt having stocked up on eggs, milk and bread! Enjoy the fair winds in the Great White North!

I was at a Hannaford's down on the South Shore with my mother just grabbing a couple of items before we headed up to Somerville, and the line was halfway around the store. Luckily, they'd set up a pretty efficient system, so we were only waiting about 5-7 minutes (even with all the people doing their full weekly shopping). I did notice, however, that the egg section looked fully stocked--maybe they don't do French Toast Emergencies down south.
