Now that's customer service.
Jun. 12th, 2007 10:52 pmI bought some tickets from Ticketmaster (spawn of Satan), and after they charged me $16.25 per ticket in "service" fees, and offered to charge me an additional $2.50 per ticket for the privilege of printing my own tickets on my own paper with my own ink, they offered me a free iTunes sampler to salve the wounds. So I clicked on the button, and iTunes opened up, and a gift card number appeared, and iTunes said "That number has already been used." So I didn't get my free sampler after all.
I tracked down a customer service link on iTunes, and sent them an email complaining about Ticketmaster (hate them, hate their mothers) and got the nicest reply:
It worked exactly as promised. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about Apple, which is a strange way to feel about a corporate behemoth. Why can't there be an iTickets store?

Dear Heliopsis,
I'm sorry to hear you ran into trouble redeeming the Ticketmaster code you received in order to download the iTunes Sampler. I know that must have been frustrating for you, and I thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you with this issue.
The code "T6HR3RPYRE3N" was successfully redeemed to your own account and the content from the iTunes Sampler is currently awaiting download in your account.
